valdez and back

natalie, johnny, becky and i
spent the long weekend in gorgeous valdez.
we took the ferry from whittier,
then drove back to anchorage
along the richardson and glenn highways.
natalie and i ran in the fourth of july "10k"
(which was acutally 7.9 miles!),
we took in the local festivities
(including canoe jousting and the fire department dunk station),
camped at blueberry lakes park
(where we saw this little alaskan rapscallion waving her american flag)
and stopped in lots of cool spots on the drive back.
