Am home sick, with a nasty, nasty head-clogging and body-woozing thing. I'm laid up on the couch, drinking tea, reading poetry (Mary Oliver and Wendell Berry) and watching season 2 of Joan of Arcadia--which is a little like going to therapy. Here are pics from hiking Lazy Mountain this weekend with Natalie and Johnny. The weekend also included a gig with Sky Gathering, a good long run, ice skating with Lisa and a spontaneous concert with Tess and Mary Rita. The concert was Ruthie Foster and Eric Bibb, and felt like good church.

seriously? you don't have a neti pot? they rock. basically you make a warm salt water mix, put it in a thing that looks like a tiny teapot, tip your head over the sink, and stick the spout up one nostril... the goal is to get the water to come out the other nostril. depending on how clogged you are, it either will or won't work the first time. it's how i get rid of sinus infections since i can't take antibios.
even the new york times and oprah like them....
