last morning here at o place,
and i'm so, so very thankful
for the year and for the abode.
particular o place things for which i have much gratitude:
* the peaceful, consistent but dynamic water view, so close
* great neighbors: margaret, kim and jason, johnny and now andrew
(and jeremy and anna, before they moved!)
* the gracious furniture (pb couch etc., perfect-sized wood table)
* being able to comfortably host so many awesome potlucks, rehearsals, jam nights, etc.
* sunsets over the water
* the loveliest roommate (this could be an entire post)
* 'wood' floors, a good toaster oven, freezer on the bottom of the fridge, stacked washer and dryer, two bathrooms, windows that mostly work, a place to hang flowers outside, a bedroom with an east-facing window
* our kind and responsive landlord
* the way we made great lighting, with star lamps and white fairy lights
* amazing location for getting on the trails, walking to downtown, going to the park

in thanks for...
* sweet angela, who is celebrating a birthday tomorrow!
* the flying geese
* nancy, jesse, laura and chuck in AK
* one more week at o place
* the view out the window
* work that is more than just a job
* clare's full recovery!
* tiny, beautiful, not-yet-born baby jit in KY
* writing songs that say something real
this morning,
perhaps the last leisurely o place morning,
i finally made
the perfect crepe.
such a very nice way to
begin a saturday :o).

{just started my new job as the director of an arts-based, waldorf-inspired enrichment program at my favorite school in downtown anchorage! am feeling very, very blessed, and so glad to be back 'in the field' with an incredible community. click the logo above to learn more about winterberry.}
tonight we drive 4 hours to kasilof,
where we'll stay overnight in teepees (!) at ionia
("a small scale multi-generational village environment
located on 160 acres of spruce forest on the kenai peninsula in alaska")
before performing at two sites for the ak solar tours.
am excited to see alaskans using renewable energy,
and to meet and sing for a new community of good people!
